UPSEE (B.Tech)-2013


UPSEE-2013

The Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Technical Education Department has authorized for the constitution of Central Admission Board (CAB) under the Chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow to supervise and control the Sate Entrance examination herein after referred as UPSEE-2013 being conducted by GBTU, Lucknow. The CAB has absolute rights to take every decision regarding conduct and admissions through UPSEE-2013.

Counseling Schedule of UPSEE-2013

·         Online Registration of Candidates at www.upsee.nic.in (JEE (Main)/ C-MAT): 5th July to 7th July

·         Document Verification: 8th July to 16th July

·         Choice Filling (All Candidates): 9th July to 17th July

·         Result of Allotment (Ist Round): 23rd July at 9:00 AM

·         Confirmation of Seat Allotment: 23rd July to 25th July

·         Result of Allotment (IInd Round): 31st July at 9:00 AM

·         Confirmation of Seat Allotment: 31st July 2013

Distribution and Submission of OMR Application Forms:

OMR application form with Brochure can be obtained from 1st March 2013 to 21st March 2013 (both days inclusive) from Head Post Offices and Mukhya Dak Ghar (MDGs) of Uttar Pradesh.

Submission of On-Line Application Form:

The online application can be made from 10.00 AM 28th February 2013 till 10.00 pm of 21st March 2013 through the website http://upsee.nic.in or http://uptu.ac.in as per detailed procedure given in the websites. For assistance (in case of any difficulty) in filling up ON-LINE application form, candidate may contact the felicitation centres at various cities. The list of felicitation centres shall be made available on website.

Date of Examination:
21st April, 2013 (Sunday): 7.30 AM to 10.30 AM (3 Hours)

Declaration of Results along with answers keys: on or before 30th May, 2013.

Examination Details:

UPSEE-2013 (OMR Application mode) will be conducted for eight papers with objective multiple type questions except Drawing Aptitude test (Part B of paper 4). The candidates are required to opt papers and subjects for appearing in the entrance examination subject to their eligibility.

Scoring and Negative Marking:

1.     All objective type questions are required to be answered on a specially designed OMR answer sheet against the respective question number. Candidate is supposed to select only one choice for correct answer in each question.
2.     Every objective multiple type question would carry four marks for each correct answer. More than one answers indicated against the question will be deemed as incorrect answer and no marks is awarded for the incorrect answer.
3.     There will be no negative marking. However, a record of incorrect answers given by a candidate will be kept separately.
4.     Answers are to be marked using ball point pen (Black / Blue) only. For the purpose of evaluation, the details filled in by the candidate in the OMR answer sheet will be treated as final.

Medium and Mode of Examination & Evaluation:

All question papers (except part B of paper-4) will carry objective multiple-choice questions. Answers will be evaluated by OMR methodology. All question papers for undergraduate admissions (except paper-4) will be in Hindi and English both, but in case of any ambiguity, the English version shall be considered final. The candidates appearing in the UPSEE-2013 have the option to answer part B of Paper-4 either in English or in Hindi. In all cases, the Standard English numerals must be used.

Examination Fee:

The examination fee for online application is as follows:

Admit Card:

Admit card will be sent by post (Speed Post/Registered Post) and available online to every candidate. However, Downloaded admit card shall be treated as valid admit card.


COUNSELLING: On Line Computer Methodology

On-line counseling will be done at various counseling centres located at different cities in state of Uttar Pradesh. The candidate invited for counseling is to report at counseling centre allotted to him/her. The details of counseling will be provided to successful candidates with counseling letter. The information about counseling schedule, procedure and centres etc., will also be available on website: www.upsee.nic.in / uptu.ac.in.

The candidates called for counseling will be required to come with original certificates of qualifying examination, marksheet, rural weightage certificate, domicile and category/ reservation certificates etc. with one attested copy of each. In case the candidates do not submit the proper category/ reservation certificate in the prescribed proforma at the time of counseling, the advantage of reserved category shall not be provided and they will be treated in General Category. If the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P., he/she has to bring the domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother) only at the time of counseling. The candidate must note that his/her domicile certificate in place of his parent’s certificate, is not acceptable and no request shall be entertained for relaxation.

The initial fee of Rs. 5,000/- will be deposited at counseling centre in the form of Bank draft. This fee is adjustable against total fee payable at institution if candidate takes admission at allotted institute / university. In some cases, the initial fee may be refunded as per conditions laid down in clause-16.2. The initial fee of Rs. 5,000/- will be forfeited if the candidate does not take admission in allotted institution. Requests for return of this fee in such case will not be entertained.

In addition to initial fee the candidate called for counseling is to deposit a separate bank draft of Rs. 500/- as counseling fee. This counseling fee is non-refundable.

After allotment of seat, the candidates are required to deposit a 'part of college/ institute fee' in form of Bank draft of Rs. 10,000=00 for General & OBC category candidates and Rs. 4,000=00 for SC & ST category candidates, at respective counseling centers within three days from the date of issue of allotment/admission letter (inclusive the date of issue of allotment letter), failing which the allotted seat will automatically be cancelled. This part of college/institute fee (Rs. 10,000 / Rs. 4,000) is adjustable against total fee payable at institution if candidate takes admission at allotted institute / university. This amount (Rs. 10,000 /Rs. 4,000) will be forfeited if the candidate does not take admission in allotted institution and requests for return of this fee in such case will not be entertained.

If a candidate wishes to participate in counseling for more than one course, he/she has to deposit the counseling fee of Rs. 500/- (in form of Bank Draft) only, provided he/she has deposited the fee.

All the Bank drafts must be prepared separately and drawn in favour of ‘Finance Officer, Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow’ payable at city branch of applicant’s counseling centre. For example, a student appearing for counselling at Lucknow, the draft should be in favour of ‘Finance Officer, Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow’ payable at Lucknow.

UPCPMT (MBBS)-2013


 UPCPMT -Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test


Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UPCPMT) conducted by CSJM Medical University, Lucknow on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh for admission to various bachelor degrees Medical courses like MBBS/ BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BUMS in the medical and dental institutes in Uttar Pradesh.

Important Dates:
  • Start of Online registration: 19th April, 2013

  • Announcement of Result: 5th July 2013
  • First UPCPMT counseling will be held on 25th July, 2013
  • Second UPCPMT counseling will be held on 28th August, 2013
Seats, Reservation and Duration of Course:

This is a 4 ½ year course. Admissions are made through U. P. State Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) conducted by Director Medical Education & Training, UP for 85% of seats and the All India Medical Entrance Examination (CBSE) conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for the remaining 15% seats. Reservation of seats for SC/ ST and OBC are made according to state government rules. The names of states medical colleges which offer MBBS course are as follows:

Pattern of Exam:

The test will consist of two papers. Two hours are given for completing each paper. The first paper includes 100 questions from the subjects of Botany and Zoology. The second paper contains 100 questions from Physics and Chemistry. The test is of objective type format. Each question has four options. Duration of exam is 180 minutes.

Language of the paper:

This examination is available in both Hindi and English. And the choice of selecting it is available in the Application form. There is another examination also, after a candidate clears this exam. So only those students who are qualified are eligible for this exam. This exam is also an objective type and contains Hindi questions. This is just to check the student who is appearing for this exam has a basic knowledge of Hindi.

Selection Procedure of UPCPMT:


The admission of the candidates depends upon their score in the entrance test. Those who qualified in the first two papers have to take a third paper. It is for evaluating the candidates’ Hindi language usage. The candidates who clear the tests will be selected for the counseling session.

Procedure for getting Application Forms for UPCPMT:

Designated branches of Central Bank of India will provide the INFORMATION BROCHURE after payment of examination fee in cash, Rs.1280.00 including counseling charges (Rs. 50.00) for General/OBC Candidates, and Rs.680.00 including counseling charges (Rs.50.00) for SC/ST Candidates. The brochure includes an application form which is in the form of an OMR sheet. The Application Form is to be filled up on the basis of the information contained in the Brochure.

Eligibility for UPCPMT:

The candidate must ensure their eligibility to appear in CPMT-2013 as per eligibility criteria given in the eligibility section of information brochure and shall be solely responsible for the same. The examining body shall not be responsible for verification/eligibility of the candidature. Candidature shall be cancelled anytime before or after examination if any discrepancy with the eligibility criterion is found.

Submitting of Form:

The duly filled OMR Application Form placed in the envelop, is to be submitted by the Registered/ Speed Post to The Chairman, C.P.M.T.-2013, CSJM University, Kalyanpur, Kanpur-208024 U.P. Write your OMR Serial Number on the envelope along with your address with PIN Code and Phone number.

OMR sheet:

The OMR sheet is to be filled with utmost care with dark blue or black Ball Point Pen. (Do not use Felt/Sketch pen) There should not be any overwriting or cutting.

Admit Card: 

Admit Card along with your Roll Number, shall be available for download at website www.cpmt2013.org. Admit Card shall NOT be sent by Post.

Revised Latest Pattern of NTSE Stage-I

NTSE—one of the renowned national level scholarship tests is organized at two stages. Stage I and Stage II. The stage II had absorbed some changes last year while stage-I has recently undergone some changes, which are given below for your kind information. The latest revised pattern of NTSE Stage-I, which is organized at state level, is as under.
Stage I (State Level) Tentative Date of Examination: 18th November

Examination details are as follows:
The entire question paper is divided into two parts: (i) Mental Ability Test and (ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test.
(i)                 Mental Ability Test (MAT):
