Schedule of JEE (Main & Advanced)-2013



TYPE & SCHEDULE OF JEE (Main)-2013

Type of Examination
JEE (Main) – 2013 shall have two papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Candidates may take Paper-1, or Paper-2, or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to.

Subject combination for each paper, type of questions in each paper and mode of examination available is given in the table below.

*The exact slots/dates for computer based examination shall be displayed on the website by 1st February 2013. The candidates will be required to make their slot/date selection through online mode during 1st February 2013 – 15th February 2013. A candidate who opts for computer based examination and does not make this selection, for whatever reasons, shall be randomly assigned a slot based on the availability. 



TYPE & SCHEDULE OF JEE (Advanced)-2013

Type of Examination of JEE (Advanced)-2013:
The JEE (Advanced)-2013 will have two objective type papers. Each paper will have separate sections in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It will test the comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of the candidates. Duration of each paper will be 3-hours. Question papers will be in both English and Hindi.
Admissions to IITs will be based only on category wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced) subject to the condition that such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates of their Boards in applicable categories.

Instructions for the day of Joint Entrance Exams

Materials: Students must bring Admit Card and Ball Point Pen of good quality. For Paper-2 of JEE (Main), the candidates are advised to bring their own clip board, geometry box set, pencils, erasers and colour pencils or crayons.
Rough Work: All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet only. The candidate should NOT do any rough work or put stray mark on the Answer Sheet. Paper for Rough work will be provided at the examination centre.
