B. Tech through OJEE - 2013

Programme for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination
OJEE has been conducting an entrance examination for admission into a number of professional courses like B. Tech. / B.Arch. / B. Pharm. / BHMS / BAMS / MCA-Dual Degree / PGAT for M. Tech. / M. Arch. and M. Pharm. / MAM / MBA / MCA / PGDM / PGCM / PGDM (Executive) / etc. in the professional colleges of Orissa.
Candidates can apply for OJEE-2013 only “Online”. Online submission of Application Form may be made by accessing OJEE-2013 website www.odishajee2013.com / www.odishajee.com

Expected Dates for OJEE-2013

1.      Last date of online application form fillup for OJEE2013 : 2nd April, 2013
2.      Last date for receipt of Confirmation Page along with Bank challan payment receipt(OJEE copy) at JEE cell : 6th April, 2013
3.      Date of Admit Card download begins from : 20th April, 2013
4.      Date of Examination : 12th May, 2013
5.      Probable Date of Declaration of Result : 1st week of June, 2013

OJEE Reservation

For Bachelors Degree Courses in Engineering / Architecture in Govt. institutions, the reservation is as given below:
Scheduled Caste              -        8%
Scheduled Tribe              -        12%
Green Card                     -        5%
Physically Challenged      -        3%
Ex-Servicemen                -        2%
Women                           -        30% in each category except ‘OL’ and ‘TFW’
Tuition Fee Waiver          Upto  -        5% (Supernumerary) (Except OL category)
Oriya (Odia) belonging to outlying Oriya (Odia) speaking tracts (OL) - 3%
Note: The percentage of seats to be reserved for different categories is subject to change and the decision of the State Government as on the date of admission will be applicable.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age: There is no age limit to appear at OJEE-2013 for admission into Engineering & Technology courses.
Academic Qualification: Passed or appearing in 2013, 10+2 examination of CHSE, Odisha or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects from Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Geology/ Statistics.
The candidate should have passed individual subject and must have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
Board of Qualifying Examination:
(i) +2/Equivalent
(ii) Diploma/Equivalent as approved by UGC/AICTE/SCTE&VT
(iii) +3 Science/Bachelor Degree/Equivalent as approved by UGC / AICTE.
(iv) B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm/Equivalent as approved by UGC / AICTE.
Date of Birth:
The candidate should enter the exact date, month and year of birth as per English calendar and as recorded in the School/Board/Pre-University examination Certificate in his/ her Application form.

SYLLABI
The syllabi for Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy / Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) / Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) / Masters degree in Computer Application (MCA-Dual Degree) are in line with courses of studies in Science stream for the Higher Secondary Examination 2013 of CHSE, ODISHA. Since OJEE is conducted with a view to preparing merit lists for admission.
·         PHYSICS (60 Questions)
·         CHEMISTRY (60 Questions)
·         MATHEMATICS (60 Questions)
·         BOTANY (30 Questions)
·         ZOOLOGY (30 Questions)

Orissa JEE - 2013 Exam Pattern

1.      There will be multiple choice type questions.
2.      The number of questions will be sixty (60) per each hour of examination.
3.      Each question shall have four answers and the examinee shall have to blacken only the appropriate circle/oval in black/ blue ball point pen.
4.      Each correct answer shall fetch four marks. Each un-attempted question will fetch zero.
5.      There is no negative marking. If more than one circle/oval is darkened for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer.
1st Sitting
Physics (60) & Chemistry (60): 9.00AM to 11.00AM
Mathematics (60): 12.00 to 1.00 PM

2nd Sitting
Biology (60): 2.30 PM to 3.30 PM
Total time: 4 hrs.

The Answer Sheet consists of two pages, the top one is the Original answer sheet whereas the annexed one is the carbon copy.
The Part – A of the original sheet contains the details such as Roll No., Question Booklet number, Name and Signature of the candidate, Name of the centre, Signature of the Invigilator.
The Part – B of the answer sheet is meant for recording the answers by darkening the appropriate circle(s) by the candidate. Whatever written/marked impression is made on the main sheet, the second sheet will reproduce the same. This will be detached by the invigilator and returned to the candidates at the end of the examination.

Fee Details

Last date for submission of Application Form: 12th February to 20th March 2013
Online Application fee: Rs 550/ [Rupees Five hundred fifty only]
The fee can be remitted through either of the following ways:
(a)    By Debit Card/ Credit Card (VISA / MASTER / Maestro cards) and NET BANKING.
OR
(b)   Remittance through e-Challan by deposit in OJEE-2013 Bank Account with State Bank of India or Syndicate Bank.

Candidate should ensure before mailing the print out of the Confirmation Page of online application form that:

1.      The applicant has signed on the computer generated Confirmation Page and put his/her left hand thumb impression at the specified places.
2.      The Parent/Guardian of the candidate has signed on the computer generated Confirmation Page at the specified space.
3.      One good quality studio photograph with white background (taken on or after 01.12.2012) has been duly pasted (should not be stapled) in the space earmarked for it. The applicant should neither write anything in the front part of the photograph nor get the photograph attested on front side.
4.      The applicant has to send the Confirmation Page of online application form by Speed post / Registered post before 22nd March, 2013 so that the Confirmation Page along with OJEE copy of the payment (Applicable only for offline payment in banks through e- Challan) should reach to OJEE office by 27th March, 2013.

Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence:

1.      At least four printouts of the computer generated Confirmation Page of the Application Form.
2.      Original receipt issued by Post Office (Speed post slip) for having despatched the computer generated Confirmation Page.
3.      Proof of fee payment.
4.      7 copies of identical Photograph as pasted on the confirmation Page of Online Application.

Submitting of Documents

Important Points for Candidates

1.      Applicants are advised to ensure the correctness of their Mailing Address, PINCODE, and Telephone Number, with STD codes. Please note that OJEE-2013 will not be responsible if communications do not reach the applicant due to incomplete address / phone number / e-mail id. Candidates are allowed to submit only one application form.
2.      Applicant must quote the seven digit application number generated after submission of all his/her required personal data as a reference in all his/her future correspondence with OJEE-2013.
3.      Claim for admission will be rejected if the candidate cannot submit the original certificates, mark sheets, other necessary documents at the time of document verification or if one has filled the form wrongly.
4.      The non-OJEE 2013 candidates seeking admission under JEE(MAIN)-2013/ CAT /MAT /CMAT /XAT /GATE/ GPAT have to pay a non-refundable Fee of Rs. 500/- in addition to the counselling fee. This amount is to be payable to “OJEE-2013” at “Bhubaneswar”.
5.      All the Admit cards will be uploaded at OJEE website from 20th - 25th April, 2013. The candidate has to download two copies of the admit card from the OJEE website which must be endorsed by the Invigilator of the examination centre for allowing the candidate to appear the exam.
6.      Separate merit list for all qualifying candidates shall be drawn on the basis of OJEE- 2013 results.
