Schedule of AEEE-2016

·         Online Registration Starts: 02.11.2015 (Monday)
·         Issue of OMR application form begins: 02.11.2015 (Monday)
·         Last date of issue of OMR application form: 19.03.2016 (Saturday)
·         Last date of receiving completed applications (OMR & Online): 21.03.2016 (Monday)
·         Computer Based Test (CBT): 17, 18 and 19 April 2016 (Sunday, Monday &Tuesday) multiple slots
·         Pen & Paper Based Test (P & P) one slot: Date: 23rd April 2016 (Saturday) | Time: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM | Duration of Exam: 2 ½ hours


Mode of AEEE-2016

The AEEE - 2016 is conducted in two separate modes: 
(i) Computer Based Test (CBT) and 
(ii) Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P). 
Candidates can choose either CBT or P&P as per their choice. If they mark both modes, their applications will become invalid and will be rejected.

Pattern of AEEE-2016

·       There will be only one question paper containing objective type questions in Mathematics-40, Physics-30 and Chemistry-30.
·         Total no. of questions is 100 and total Marks are 300.
·         Each question will be followed by four answers of which only one is correct / most appropriate.
·         The question booklet will be in English only.
·         Each correct answer will fetch 3 marks, each incorrect answer has a penalty (-1) mark.
·    
     In CBT, the candidate answers the questions in preferred sequence using the allotted computer in exam centre. Candidates in different slots will get different question sets.
·        
       In P&P, printed question booklets in 4 different versions are distributed among the candidates. The answers are to be marked in printed OMR answer sheet.

Eligibility for Admission in AEEE-2016
·         Age – Candidates shall be born on or after 1st July 1995.
·    Educational Qualification – A candidate must pass 10+2 ( class XII ) or its equivalent securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects. 
(OR) A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education. 
Note: Those who appear for the above examinations in March / April 2016 and expect to secure minimum marks as above may also apply.

Application for AEEE-2016
Application can be submitted either online or using printed OMR application form for CBT or P&P based test.

Where to get Application Form of AEEE-2016:

·         ONLINE Application - Refer to the University website www.amrita.edu for details and instructions.
·         Printed OMR Application Forms can be obtained (a) From sale outlets (Post Office, Dhanlaxmi Bank and Federal Bank) on payment of Rs. 1000/-, (b) By post from the Admission Co-ordinators of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru & Coimbatore with a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/- drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore and (c) Direct from the University counter of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru & Coimbatore on producing a demand draft for Rs. 1000/- as above.

Submission of the Filled-In Application
Duly filled-in application form shall be sent in the pre-addressed cover to the following address ONLY: The Admissions Co-ordinator, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, (P.O) Amritanagar, Ettimadai, Coimbatore-641112, Tamil Nadu. Phone: 0422 - 2685169 / 170.

NOTE: When a demand draft is used, candidate should write on the back of the Demand Draft, “B.Tech Application”, his / her Name and mobile number. Please note down the Application no. or keep a photocopy of the filled-in application and Demand Draft with you for future reference. Application fee once paid will not be refunded.
