NEET – Fee Details:
1.     Fee without Late fee for GENERAL / OBC candidates: Rs. 1000/-

2.     Fee with Late fee for GENERAL / OBC candidates: Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000 + Rs. 1000)

3.     Fee without Late fee for SC / ST / PH candidates: Rs. 550/-

4.     Fee with Late fee for SC / ST / PH candidates: Rs. 1550/- (Rs. 550 + Rs. 1000)

NEET – Pattern of Examination:
1.     NEET (UG) Entrance Examination shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
2.     Questions are of four options with single correct answer.
3.     The duration of paper would be 3 hours.
4.     Each item carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks.
5.     For each incorrect response one (1) mark will be deducted from the total score i.e, 1/4th negative marking.
6.     No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for an item in the answer sheet. 
7.     More than one answer indicated a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.
8.     For the purpose of evaluation, the Test Booklet code as printed in the Answer Sheet on side-2 will be accepted as final.
9.     All candidates can opt for Question Paper either in English or in Hindi.
10.  Candidates who have passed/appearing from the State Boards of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal and seeking admission in the institutions located in the State concerned under State Quota seats only can opt for Question Paper in their respective Regional Language i.e. Telugu, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil and Bengali.

NEET – Eligibility Criteria:
1.     Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments and the Government of India.
2.     He/ She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course.
3.     The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission under 15% All India Quota Seats is 25 years.
4.     This upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes.
5.     The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category, 45% marks for Gen-PH, 40% for SC/ST/OBC and SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.
6.     A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2013 whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks.
7.     Qualifying criterion has been changed from 50% of absolute marks in NEET to 50th percentile for GC, 45th percentile for GC-PH, 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC students in NEET to ensure that no seat remains unfilled.
8.     The percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in All India common merit list in NEET for admission to MBBS course.
9.     No state eligibility criteria will be applicable the students who take admission under 15% All India Quota Scheme.
10.  A candidate can attempt maximum of three times.

NEET Merit List & Rankings: 
a.     NEET body (i.e. CBSE) shall provide All India as well as State wise merit list of the eligible candidates on the marks obtained in the NEET.
b.    Rank Usage for NEET qualified students:
                      i.        National Rank: A student can use National Rank to take admission in any of the NEET affiliated MBBS colleges in India.
                     ii.        State Rank: A student can use State Rank to take admission in any of the affiliated colleges in the state from here he/she has done class XI & XII or holds a domicile.
                    iii.        The NEET guidelines require that 85% of the MBBS seats in the medical colleges across the state be reserved under the state quota. The remaining 15% remain open to candidates from other states.
c.     Admission to AFMC, Pune: 
The List of Successful Candidates opted for AFMC shall be forwarded to the Directorate General of Armed Force Medical Service, Ministry of Defence, Government of India for Second Stage Screening and Counselling. Candidates are advised to contact AFMC for further details.

NEET – Reservation of Seats:
1.     All India merit list and State-wise list of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the NEET and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS courses from the said list only by following the Existing Reservation Policies.
2.     All admission to MBBS/BDS courses within in the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance test.
3.     All other existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical /Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules and Policies of the State /UT / Institutions / University concerned.
Reservation of Seats in Government Medical Colleges Under 15% All India Quotas:
a.     15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
b.    7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
c.     27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates
d.    3% seats are reserved for PH candidates.

NEET-State Code of Eligibility:
Candidates may choose State Code(s) on the basis of his/her eligibility to claim seats under State Quota in any State. Candidate’s rank in the merit list for 85% State Quota seats will be generated on the basis of the State Code of Eligibility filled in by the Candidates in the application form.

NEET – Admit Card: 
Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the CBSE website.  Candidate may please note that admit cards will not be sent by the post. The schedules of hosting of admit cards are as follows:
a.     Applications without Late Fee: 01.04.2013
b.    Applications with Late Fee: 10.04.2013
The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, Sub-Category, Photograph, Signature, Date of Birth, Language of Question Paper with Name and Address of NEET Examination centre allotted.
The candidate should carefully examine the Admit Card downloaded by him/her for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, the candidate should immediately inform the Board. In no case, the duplicate Admit Card for NEET would be issued at the Examination Centres. Candidate must not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission in Medical/ Dental Colleges is over.

NEET – Important Information:
1.     Admit Card, Card Board/Clip Board, Post Card size Photograph and Ball Point Pen of good quality to be brought on the day of examination.
2.     All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet only. The candidate will not do any rough work or put any stray mark on the machine gradable Answer Sheet.
3.     Candidates have to use Blue/Black Ball Point Pen only for Writing of particulars on the Test Booklet and responses on the Answer Sheet.
4.     Application Forms after last date will not be accepted irrespective of the date of booking. Candidates must note that after submission of the application form it cannot be withdrawn.
5.     Students from the States of Andhra Pradesh and J&K are NOT ELIGIBLE for 15% all India quota seats as both these States had opted out of All India Scheme since its inception. If they claim eligibility, they must submit an affidavit, in original on non-judicial Stamp Paper of Rs 10/- duly sworn in before and attested by a Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate.

 NEET – Mode of Payment:
1.     Candidates can apply only ONLINE.
2.     Online submission of application may be made by accession the Board’s website www.cbseneet.nic.in.
3.     Candidates may remit the fee in the following manner-
a.     Through Debit / Credit Card / Internate Banking using online gateway payment facility or
b.    Depositing in CBSE Bank Account with Canara Bank or Syndicate Bank directly or
c.     Depositing in CBSE Account with e-Post Office by downloading the Challan form from the CBSE website.

NEET – Mode of Submission of Application Form:
1.     The duration of submission of application form without late fee and with late fees is given in Fee Details/Fee Dates.
2.     Follow the instructions for submitting online application, payment of fee and computer generated printout to CBSE on www.cbseneet.nic.in.
3.     Candidates may take the assistance of Facilitation Centres for submission of application form free of cost during working hours.
Please ensure before mailing the print out of the Confirmation Page of online application form that
1.     The applicant has signed the Form at specified place and affixed left hand thumb impression.
2.     The application bears the signature of Parent/Guardian.
3.     The application has been authenticated/signed by the Head of the Institution/Gazetted Officer.
4.     The two similar good quality colour studio photographs with white background (taken on or after 01.11.2012) have been duly pasted in the space earmarked for it.
5.     Further, ensure that application form number & candidate name has been written on the back of both the photographs.
6.     The Confirmation Page of online application sent by Courier shall not be accepted.

NEET – Confirmation page submitting Address:
For sending Computer Generated Confirmation Page of online Application Form use any good quality A5 size (12” x 10”) envelope and paste the Computer Generated CBSE Address Slip on the envelope and dispatched only by Registered/Speed Post to:

KEA-Capacity Building for NEET-2013



Karnataka Examinations Authority

The Karnataka Examinations Authority will take up the Capacity Building of students for making them fully prepared to write the NEET 2013. The capacity building programme for all students will commence from October 16, 2012 which coincides with Dusshera Holidays for 2nd PU students. 

The Capacity Building Programme will be telecast through Doordarshan Chandana Channel from 9.15 pm to 10.00 pm every day till May 2013. 

Further transmission of Capacity Building Programme will also be done through Edusat also.

Detailed course wise modules for all contents of the syllabus will be accessible to all students from 16th October through KEA website. 

A separate NEET Cell is being constituted in Karnataka Examinations Authority which will interact directly with the students. Further from January 2013, Mock NEET examination will also be conducted by KEA both offline and online. 

Students can be assured that complete responsibility to make them confident to face the examination with optimal preparation will be shouldered by KEA.

JEE (Main)-2013-Fees & Demand Draft


The fee may be submitted either by credit/debit card or through Demand Draft

1.      In case of Demand Draft, the same may be made in favour of Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi.
2.      In case the payment is made through Demand Draft, please mention your computer generated application no. and name on the reverse side of Demand Draft.
3.      The computer generated Confirmation Page with photograph pasted, address written and signed by the candidate and his/her parent must reach the JEE (Main) office on or before 26th December 2012. JEE (Main)-2013-Confirmation Page


Where and How to Send the Confirmation Page
The Confirmation Page is to be printed on A-4 size paper and kept in an A-4 size envelope/proper size envelope. The completed Confirmation Page must be sent only by registered/speed post to the Executive Director JEE (Main) - 2013 at the address given below.

The candidates are advised to retain the following.
1.      A photocopy of Confirmation Page carrying the Application No.

Last Date for Receipt of the Confirmation Page
The computer generated Confirmation Page with photographs pasted, address written, signed by the candidate, signed by the parent and counter signed by the Principal/Gazetted Officer must reach the JEE (Main) Secretariat on or before 26th December 2012.


Confirmation page sent by the courier/hand delivered will be rejected without any further correspondence.


JEE (Main)-2013-Instructions


INSTRUCTION FOR CANDIDATES

1.      Candidates may check the status of their application on JEE (Main) - 2013 website by giving the application number and date of birth.

2.      The offer of admission is subject to verification of original certificates/ documents at the time of admission. If any candidate is found ineligible at a later date even after admission to an Institute, his/her admission will be cancelled.

3.      If a candidate expects the result of Class 12th/Other qualifying examination to be declared after 30th June 2013 by the examining body, the candidate is advised not to attempt JEE (Main) - 2013. Candidates whose result of Class 12th /other qualifying examination is not available by 30th June 2013 will not be considered for All India Ranking of JEE (Main) - 2013.
4.      The candidates must fully satisfy themselves about the accuracy of the answer before darkening the appropriate circle as no change in answer once marked is allowed. Use of eraser or white/correction fluid on the Answer Sheet is not permissible as the Answer Sheets are machine gradable and it may lead to wrong evaluation. If more than one circle is darkened or if the response is marked in any other manner or as shown in ‘Wrong Method’ above, it shall be treated as wrong way of marking.

5.      The candidate will not do any rough work on the Answer Sheet. All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet itself.

6.      Prior to handing over the Answer Sheet soon after the examination is over, the candidate must sign the attendance sheet as a proof thereof. The examinee is permitted to carry the Text Booklet. 

JEE (Main) - 2013 - Admit Card


ADMIT CARD FOR JEE (Main) - 2013

The Admit Card can be downloaded from JEE (Main) website from 1st March 2013 onwards. 

PRIOR TO DOWNLOADING THE ADMIT CARD, THOSE CANDIDATES WHO DID NOT PROVIDE THE ROLL NUMBER OF THEIR CLASS 12th/OTHER QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE SO. 

The candidates are advised to download their admit cards from JEE (Main) website only. 
The Candidates are also advised to regularly see JEE (Main) website for updates. 
A call center will also be functional on all working days from 1st February 2013 onwards for general facilitation. 

JEE (Main)-2013-Pen and Paper based Exam


Instructions for Pen and Paper Based Examination of JEE (Main)

1.      Five minutes before the commencement of the paper the candidate will be asked to break/open the seal of the Test Booklet. She/he will take out the Answer Sheet carefully. The candidate should check carefully that the Test Booklet Code printed on Side-2 of the Answer Sheet is the same as printed on the Test Booklet. In case of discrepancy, the candidate should immediately report the matter to the Invigilator for replacement of both the Test Booklet and the Answer Sheet.
2.      Candidate will then write particulars with Blue/Black ball point pen only on both the sides of the Answer Sheet. Use of pencil is strictly prohibited. If one uses the pencil, his/her answer sheet will be rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. After completing this step, the candidates will wait for the instruction by the invigilator.
3.      The test will start exactly at the time mentioned in the Admit Card and an announcement to this effect will be made by the invigilator.
4.      During the examination time, the invigilator will check Admit Card of the candidate to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate. The invigilator will also put his/her signatures in the place provided in the Answer Sheet on Side-1.
5.      Candidate shall bring his/her own Ball Point Pens of good quality. These will not be supplied by the Board.
6.      A signal will be given at the beginning of the examination and at half-time. A signal will also be given before the closing time when the candidate must stop marking the responses.
7.      The candidate will check that the Test-booklet contains as many numbers of pages as are written on the top of the first page of the Test Booklet.
8.      The candidates must sign twice on the Attendance Sheet at the appropriate place. Firstly, immediately after commencement of the Examination and for the second time while handing over the Answer Sheet to the Invigilator. The candidates are also required to put their left hand thumb impression in the space provided in the Attendance Sheet.

JEE (Main)-2013-Computer Based Examination


Instructions for Computer Based Examination of JEE (Main)

a.       The Computer Based Examination will be conducted as per the following schedule.
·         A sample/mock test will be available on JEE (Main) website in the month of Feb/Mar 2013 for practice purpose and to give the candidate look and feel of the Computer Based Examination (CBE).
·         Facilitation center will be operational in the month of March for the hands on practice by the candidates in each and every city where online examination will be conducted.
·         The details of facilitation centers will be made available on JEE (Main) website in March 2013.
b.      The test will be of 3 hrs duration
c.       The test paper will consist questions of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and all questions will have equal weightage.
d.      There will be three parts in the question paper consisting of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having equal weightages. Each question is allotted 4 (four) marks for each correct response.
e.        ¼ (one fourth) marks i.e. one mark will be deducted for indicating incorrect response of each question. No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question.
f.       There is only one correct response for each question out of four responses given.
g.      No candidate is allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers, pager, mobile phone, any electronic device, etc., except the Admit Card, identity proof and pen inside the examination hall/room. Violation of this will lead to cancellation of candidature.
h.      All calculations/writing work are to be done in the rough sheet provided only and on completion of the test candidates must hand over the rough sheets to the invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall
i.        Each candidate must show on demand his/her Admit Card to the Invigilator
j.        No candidate, without special permission of the Superintendent or Invigilator, should leave his/her seat
k.      The candidates are governed by all Rules and Regulations of the Board with regard to their conduct in the Examination Hall. All cases of unfair means will be dealt with as per rules.

Important Dates Six New AIIMS

Six new AIIMS like Institutions have been started from August-2012 at

Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh
 
Important information regarding admission to the MBBS course of six new AIIMS:

1.      MBBS classes have been started from August-2012 in the six AIIMS like Institutions at Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh for session 2012.
2.      The admissions to the MBBS course in these six AIIMS like Institutions have been conducted through the same entrance examination for admission to MBBS course in AIIMS New Delhi.
3.      Candidates desirous of being considered for admission to any of these six institutions apart from AIIMS New Delhi should indicate their preference in the application form itself.
4.      AIIMS would prepare a merit list and operate it first for filling its 72 MBBS seats both from general and reserved category candidates. Thereafter, the merit list would be operated for allotting candidates to the six AIIMS like Institutions in order of the candidate’s merit and preference.
5.      The counseling and admissions for the six AIIMS like Institutions will be done by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Any dispute in regard to counseling and admissions will be dealt with by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
6.      The admission notice in respect of six AIIMS like Institutions is tentative. In case, for any reasons whatsoever, MBBS courses are not commenced in the six AIIMS like Institutions in the session 2012, no right for admission shall accrue to any candidate who might apply for admission in response to this admission notice.
7.      No liability of any kind whatsoever is pertaining to the MBBS course at these six AIIMS like Institutions and or admissions thereto shall devolve upon AIIMS, New Delhi.

2.      The Prospectus and application form is available on website: 1st week of March.
3.      Online Registration of Application on www.aiimsexams.org: 1st week of March to 1st week of April.
