IEO-International English Olympiad

International English Olympiad

IEO Exam
The International English Olympiad (IEO) is a one-of-a-kind examination, and first in the history of English language testing in India.

Registration of Students for IEO
The event is open to the students of classes 1st to 12th and registrations are received from the schools in the prescribed pro-forma. Registration sheet for the school / students and the information booklet are posted to the schools all over India and abroad. Let confirm the complete address of your school. The organization will send detailed information and registration forms to your School so that your Principal / English Teacher can register your names for the exam.

Students have to register through their schools only. SOF does not encourage individual participation. Less than 50 students a school is not viable for the Foundation to hold the exam. Hence at least 50 students should be enrolled from a school so that a school becomes a center.

Although conducted by the same Foundation, NCO, NSO, IMO and IEO are four completely different competitions. Students can register for all the four Olympiads in a year.

Benefits
Participants of IEO are ranked on the basis of marks obtained. Hence, after taking the test, students can judge themselves academically at four different levels - within the school, at city and state level and above all at International level. Finally students are suitably awarded based on their International and State ranking. Prizes include cash prizes, computers, medals, I-pads, gifts etc. The   3 toppers of each class are awarded at grand prize distribution ceremonies presided over by eminent personalities. Rest of the prizes is either sent to the schools or can be collected from the Foundation’s office after announcement.

Students of classes 1st to 12th are eligible to appear for the IEO. There is no other eligibility criterion like minimum marks.
