About AIEEE:
Programme of Action (PoA), 1992 under the National Policy on
Education (NPE), 1986 envisaged conduct of a common entrance examination on all
India basis for admission to professional and technical programmes in the
country. For admission to Engineering and Architecture/Planning programmes,
Government of India vide Resolution dated 18th October 2001 has laid down a
Three – Exam Scheme (JEE and AIEEE at the National Level and the State Level
Engineering Entrance Examinations (SLEEE) for State Level Institutions – with
an option to join AIEEE). This takes care of varying admission standards in
these programmes and helps in maintenance of professional standards.
The Tenth All
India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) was held on 01st May, 2011.
1053807
candidates appeared, out of 1114541 candidates registered, for the examination
at 1685
centres located
in 86 cities. Approximately, 18411 seats for BE/B.Tech & 930 seats for
B.Arch/B.Planning in various institutions, namely National Institutes of
Technology, IIITs, CFIs & 15900 seats of B/B.Tech & 140 Seats for B.
Arch/B.Planning in Universities/ self financed Institutions were available to
fill up through Central Counselling Board. A centralized online counselling had
been organized for filling up the All India seats by the Central Counselling
Board.
Due to high
demand from the large student community of Kota from the State of Rajasthan,
this year, Kota has also been made examination centre for online examination
and for foreign students BAHRAIN has also been added as one of the examination
centre for AIEEE 2012.
Keeping in view
greater variety of subjects offered by different School Boards at the 10+2
(Class–XII) level, more subject combinations in qualifying examination (10+2)
would now be possible.
AIEEE is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) therefore the syllabus of AIEEE is from CBSE class 11th and 12th syllabus.

Exam Pattern of AIEEE:
Entrance examination would consist of two papers i.e.
a. 1st paper consisting of three parts of Physics, Chemistry
and Mathematics of equal weightage with objective type questions for B.E/B.Tech
courses and 2nd paper consisting of Mathematics.
- Aptitude
Test and Drawing for B. Architecture and B. Planning.
- The
Aptitude Test is designed to evaluate candidate’s perception, imagination,
observation, creativity and architectural awareness.
Scoring
and Negative Marking:
1.
There will be objective type questions with four options having
single correct answer. For each incorrect response, one fourth (1/4) of the
total marks allotted to the question would be deducted.
2.
No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no
response is indicated for an item in the answer sheet.
3.
The candidates are advised not to attempt such item in the answer
sheet if they are not sure of the correct response.
4.
More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed
as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.
Instructions and Procedure for On-line Application Form AIEEE:
Please read the instructions and
procedures carefully before you start filling the form.
1.
Mode of
Examination: There are two mode of examination:
- Online Examination
(Computer Based Test)
- Offline Examination (Pen
& Paper mode) as conducted earlier

Application will be made 'Online'
only.
3.
Application
Procedure:
(i) The online submission of particulars may be made at website www.aieee.nic.in.

On submission of details, a
Confirmation page with Registration No. shall be generated.
(iii) Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation
page and paste photographs, put left hand thumb impression, sign in the space
earmarked for the purpose and write down the Residential Address.
(iv) The confirmation Page is to be sent by Registered/Speed
Post to CBSE (not by Courier) to " The Joint Secretary (AIEEE Unit),
Central Board of Secondary Education, PS 1-2, Institutional Area, IP
Extension,Patparganj, Delhi 110 092" along with original Demand Draft
(if fee paid by Demand Draft) for further processing so as to reach latest by
05.01.2012 . Application received beyond this date will not be accepted.
4.
Payment can be made as follows-

Payment of Fee could be made by

Eligibility Criteria for AIEEE:
The minimum academic qualification for admission
through AIEEE is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of
10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination
with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PH
category candidates. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent
examination may also appear in AIEEE provisionally.

The number of attempts which a candidate
can avail at All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination shall be
limited to 03 (three) uniformly for all the candidates in consecutive years.
Date of Birth:
Candidates should not complete 25 years on 30th
September of the year in which s/he appears for AIEEE. However, in the case of
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH)
candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years. Date of birth as recorded in
the Secondary Education Board/ University certificate only will be taken as authentic.
Steps to be followed if fee paid through Demand
Draft:
- If you want to remit the fee by Demand Draft, get ready before filling application form.
- Demand draft which should be drawn in favour of the Secretary,
Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi drawn in any
National Bank payable at Delhi. Write your name, address, registration no
(as given on confirmation page) and course opted on the back of the demand
draft.
- Logon to the AIEEE website, fill the application form,
note down the registration number which would be generated by system that
is required for making the payment of fee.
- Fill the details of Demand Draft.
- Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as
per the instruction given above.
Steps to be followed if fee paid through Credit/Debit
Card:
- Keep the details of Credit/Debit Card (VISA/MasterCard)
ready.
- Logon to the AIEEE website, fill the application form,
note down the registration number which would be generated by system that
is required for making the payment of fee.
- Make the payment through Credit/Debit Card and note
down the payment receipt number, after successful payment of fee.
- Take a printout of Confirmation Page and complete as
per the instruction given above.
- Note: Bank will charge 2% service/processing charges and
service tax as applicable on transaction made by Credit/Debit card.
Simple Steps to be followed for Appling Online:
1.
Please
check the eligibility criteria.
2.
Check
the fee schedule and prepare a Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, CBSE,
payable at Delhi/New Delhi.
3.
In
case of Credit/Debit Card, keep your card ready for making online payment.
4.
Fill
in all the particulars as per requirement in the Online Application Form.
5.
Submit
Fee details and take printout of confirmation page.
6.
Send
Confirmation Page to AIEEE Unit by Speed/Registered Post only.
Information Regarding Exams:
1.
The
examinees who will appear in online examination will be given concession of
Rs.150/- to Rs.300/- in examination fees.
2.
The
candidates who wish to appear in the cities notified for online examination may
acquaint themselves about the online examination.
3.
Mock
test software will also be uploaded on CBSE Website for the purpose of practice
by the examinees.
4.
In
order to have wider availability of application forms, this year, CBSE has
decided to accept application for examination through online mode only and no
physical form will be sold.
5.
This
has been done to ensure availability of forms through CBSE/AIEEE Website at all
places and without any time restriction i.e. available through out the day on
24x7 basis.
6.
For those unable to appear in AIEEE on scheduled date of
examination for any reason, including loss of application form/ admit card in
transit, no re-examination shall be held under any circumstances. The schedule
will remain unaltered even if the date is declared as a public holiday.
7.
To
facilitate the students for filling online application, a facilitation centre
will be opened in each and every city from where physical forms were being sold
in past.
8.
Students may move to the venue of examination for refreshment etc.
after examination of B.E./B.Tech over, if they have applied for BE/B. Tech. and
B. Arch/ B. Planning together.
