Nature of AIPMT- 
The AIPMT Entrance Examination shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The duration of the paper will be 3 hours from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm. Language of the question papers will be either in English or in Hindi along with Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati and Bengali as optional for respective state’s students.

Nature of AIIMS Exam- 
The Competitive Entrance Examination will be of 3½ hours duration from 10:00 am to 01:30 pm and will have one paper consisting of 200 objective type (multiple choice and assertion-reason type) questions. Incorrect responses will be given negative marks. Each correct response will get a score of 1 mark and each incorrect response will get a score of -1/3 (minus-one-third). No credit will be given for the questions not answered. More than one response will be treated as wrong answer and negatively marked. Candidates should NOT bring pen/pencil to the Examination Hall as the same will be provided by AIIMS at the examination centre for writing/ marking responses on (OMR) answer sheet.

BVDU-CET (Medical) – Pune


Nature of BVDU-CET - 
The students will be admitted on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test CET (Medical)-2014 conducted by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.  The CET will consist of one question paper. It will be set in English medium and will contain 200 multiple choice objective-type questions, 50 each on Physics, Chemistry and 100 question on Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each correct answer will get 1 mark. There is no negative marking. The candidates will be given 3 hours to finish the exam.

CMC – Ludhiana


Nature of CMC UG-AWT - 
A common undergraduate admission written test (UG-AWT) will be held for the UG courses from 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm. Bible Test for Christian applicants will be held from 4:45 pm to 5:15 pm, on the same day. 

All questions will be multiple choice types. Test will be conducted in the subject of Physics, Chemistry and Biology of 12th class standard and also shall include test on General Aptitude. There will be 50 questions on each subject, i.e. a total of 200 questions. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Bible Test is of Objective type with 50 questions and is based on facts from the Holy Bible. MBBS & BDS courses, applicants must obtain not less than 50% marks (75 marks out of 150) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. Christian applicants should have scored 45% marks in the Bible Test. The Final Merit List will be out of 200 which will include Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Aptitude. Bible Test marks are not considered for merit preparation.

CMC - Vellore

Nature of CMC-UG Test- 
A written test consisting of multiple choice questions is conducted in English. Each question will have five possible answers as A, B, C, D, E. The candidate may use a black ball point pen or HB pencil. Using a pencil is to your advantage. Credit is given for questions not attempted (those left blank). The credit given is equal to 1/5 (0.2) of the mark for that question.

For the degree courses (MBBS, BSc (N) & AHS) there are 60 questions each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (120 minutes total) and 120 questions in General Ability with emphasis on Speed and Accuracy and a few questions on issues of current topical interest (70 minutes). The General Ability paper will be in two sections. Section I will have 60 questions to be answered in 50 minutes and Section II will have 60 questions to be answered in 20 minutes.

Performance in this examination will be the basis for being called for the interviews, practical tests and final selections. At the time of the interviews for MBBS and B Sc Nursing courses, Christian students who have applied under the sponsored category will be given a test on Bible Knowledge (50 multiple choice questions). The General Paper (Non Science) for Group B will consist of multiple choice questions of a general nature, including very basic science, general knowledge, current awareness and general ability. Interviews and Practical test for selection to the various courses will be held at Vellore according to the schedule.

EAMCET (MBBS) – Andhra Pradesh


Nature of EAMCET- 
The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) include B. Tech Agricultural Engineering, Bio Technology, Dairy Technology; B. Pharm, B. Sc BDS and MBBS among others.

The EAMCET question paper consists of a total 160 questions comprising of a total of 80 questions in Biology (Botany-40 & Zoology-40), 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry. All questions are objective type (multiple choices) only. No negative marking. The test is of 3 hours duration between 2.30 P.M and 5.30 P.M. The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Telugu” medium. Candidates, who have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, will be allotted a Test Centre at Hyderabad only.

Nature of IPU-CET – 
There will be two stages of the GGSIPU-Common Entrance Test. Only qualified candidates of Stage-I will be allowed to appear in Stage-II Entrance Test of MBBS.

The IPU CET test paper will contain 200 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions on Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology in all. Each question shall carry 3 marks. One mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Incorrect answers will include both the “wrong answers” as well as “more than one answer to a question”. The IPU-CET will be of 3 hours duration and will carry 600 marks. The medium of the tests will be English only.

Candidates should bring a black ball point pen to the Examination Hall for writing/ marking responses on OMR answer sheet. Use of pencil is not allowed. No requests for re-checking, re-evaluation, reassessment or scrutiny of OMR answer sheet will be entertained.

Nature of JIPMER Exam- 
The questions are equally distributed in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. There will be four alternatives for each of the question numbering 001 to 200. Only one correct answer is to be marked for each question. Each question carries 4 marks. No negative marking. Duration of the examination is 150 minutes. No corrections/erasing are allowed. Nature of MGIMS Exam- 
The Entrance Examination shall consist of two papers. The Paper-1 consists of Physics, Chemistry and Biology 60 marks each and will have multiple choice questions. Each correct answer will be given 1 mark. No negative marking for wrong answers. Duration of paper is 3 hours.

Nature of UP-CPMT – 
There will be only one Paper containing Zoology, Botany, Chemistry and Physics. Each paper contains 50 questions.  Each question carries 1 mark. The test is of objective type format. Each question has four options. Duration of exam is 180 minutes. No negative marking. This examination is available in both Hindi and English. And the choice of selecting it is available in the Application form.

There is another examination also, after a candidate clears this exam. So only those students who are qualified are eligible for this exam. This exam is also an objective type and contains Hindi questions. This is just to check the student who is appearing for this exam has a basic knowledge of Hindi.

Nature of Goa-CET-

Nature of JK-CET – 
Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BoPEE) conducts the common entrance test for admitting students in various private and government institutes in the state. Negative marking introduced first time in JKCET for each wrong answer. It may cause low merit. KEAM-CEE (MBBS) - Kerala

Nature of KEAM-CEE – 
Candidates desirous for the entire Medical & Engineering courses under Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical Common Entrance Exam will have to write both papers of the Medical Entrance Examination. For Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations, each Paper will have 120 questions to be answered in 150 minutes.
The KEAM-2014 Entrance Exam will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions and based on single response. For each question, five suggested answers (A/ B/ C/ D/ E) would be given, of which only one have to select and mark in the OMR Answer Sheet. There will be two papers. Paper-I will be Chemistry and Physics of 60 questions each. And Paper-II will be only 120 questions of Biology. Each question carries 4 marks. Negative mark (-1) will be awarded for each wrong answer. Duration of each paper is 2 ½ hours.
Scoring, negative marks: For each correct response in the Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations, the candidates will be awarded FOUR marks, and for each incorrect response, ONE mark will be deducted from the total score. More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed as incorrect response, and will be awarded negative marks. Questions are not based on NCERT textbooks or any other textbooks exclusively.

TJEE (MBBS) - Tripura

Nature of TBJEE – 
Candidates willing to appear in Tripura Joint Entrance Examination have to attempt questions of four different subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Each of the subjects of Examination will be of 100 marks. Duration of Examination of each paper will be 2 hours. There will be 50 (fifty) compulsory MCQs, taking 5 (five) questions from each Module for each subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Each question will carry 2 (two) marks. Total marks for a question paper will be 100 (50 x 2) for each subject. No mark will be deducted for wrong answer. 

Candidates seeking admission to Engineering / Technological Degree Courses (Group - A) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and those seeking admission to Medical / Agricultural / Veterinary / Fishery and other such courses, (Group-B) will have to appear in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates desiring to take chances in both of the above groups will have to appear in all the four subjects (Group-C).

WB-JEE (MBBS) – West Bengal

The “WBJEEM-2014” examination will be conducted on four subjects: Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Based on courses offered, there will be 3 (three) categories of examinees as listed below:

Nature of WB-JEE – In every subject, all questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ-type, with four options against each of the questions) and the answer(s) to each of the questions has/have to be marked on the OMR. Questions will be of three categories.
