BVDU-Pune AICET- Engineering – 2014

The students will be admitted to the Engineering degree courses of the College of Engineering, Pune on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the All India Common Entrance Test CET (Engineering) - 2014 conducted by the Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.

About BVDU (
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University)-Pune:

The Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune was set up in 1964. It was Dr. Patangrao Kadam who brought the idea of such a University into reality. It started operating actively on 1996 after the Government of India promoted it, and the group of 12 Institutions under it, to a University. The main objective of this University was to invoke the dormant talents in Individuals so as to efficiently bring up the idea of National Development and work for bringing it to fruition and hence improve development of the economy as well.

·         Name of Exam: CET (Engineering) – 2014
·         Last date for submission of application form: 15th May 2014
·         Date and time of Examination:  25th May 2014 from 11.00 to 14.00 hrs
·         Date of declaration of result: 11th June 2014
·         Date of Counseling: 26th June, 2014 to 4th July, 2014
·         Date of Commence from: 15th July 2014

Eligibility Criteria:

·         The candidate seeking admission to these courses should be an Indian national and should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission.
·         The candidate seeking admission to any of these courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (H.S.C.) or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2 or HSC examination of any recognised Board/ University from any school/college situated in India.
·         Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.
·         Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.
·         Candidates who are likely to appear or who have appeared for qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C. etc. but whose results have not been declared will also be considered eligible to appear for CET (Engineering) - 2014, provided they have offered the above mentioned subjects at the said examinations. However, they should produce mark-sheet of HSC at time of counselling.

Exam Pattern of BVDU-CET:

The CET (Engineering) – 2014 examination consists of one question paper. The question paper will contain 200 multiple choice objective type questions on Physics and Mathematics with only one correct choice. The duration of the examination is of 3 hours. Each question carries one mark. There is no negative marking. It will consist of 100 questions on Mathematics and 100 questions on Physics. It will be set in English medium.

Downloaded application form [if payment is done through DD] must be accompanied by CET (Engineering) - 2014 fee of Rs. 1700/- It should be mailed (the fee should be paid by Demand Draft of Rs. 1700/- drawn on any nationalised bank or Bharati Sahakari Bank Ltd. payable at Pune, in favour of Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune) to the following address
