EAMCET-B.Tech - A.P.


EAMCET – 2014 (B. Tech)

The Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is used for admission to the respective courses at Universities and Private Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JTNU) will be conducting EAMCET 2014 on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) on 17th May 2014.

About EAMCET:

Courses under EAMCET 2014 scores include B. Tech Agricultural Engineering, Bio Technology, Dairy Technology; B. Pharm, B. Sc BDS and MBBS among others. The EAMCET plays a major role in simplifying admission to professional courses within Andhra Pradesh.

Important Dates:

Official notification to be released on: 10th February 2014
Entrance exam: 17th May 2014 (2:30 – 5:30)
Results: 9th June 2014

Eligibility Criteria:

The age of the candidates should be above 16 years for Non Medical courses and between 17 and 25 for Medical courses.
Eligibility to appear for the EAMCET 2014 is Science stream in 10+2 (or equivalent) with 40% minimum marks for Non-Medical fields and Science with Biology in 10+2 (or equivalent) with 50% minimum marks for Medical fields.

Pattern of Exam for B.Tech Program:

The Entrance test is of 3 hour duration and the question paper consists of a total 160 questions comprising of a total of 80 questions in Mathematics, 40 questions in Physics and 40 questions in Chemistry. All questions are objective type (multiple choices) only and each question carries 1 mark. The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Telugu” medium. Candidates, who have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, will be allotted a Test Centre at Hyderabad only.

The Test is on 17-05-2014 between 2.30 P.M and 5.30 P.M.

Admission procedure:

Application should be submitted through online mode only.
Payment of Registration Fee for submission of Online Application Form is the first step and the Registration Fee is Rs.250/- which has to be paid through the following modes.
·         AP ONLINE / E-SEVA / MEE SEVA
·         CREDIT CARD/ DEBIT CARD
Same centre for candidates appearing for both engineering and agriculture & medicine.
Important Information:
1.      During the ONLINE submission of EAMCET 2014 Application form, the candidate is hereby informed to select the required REGIONAL CENTRE / ZONE (in case of HYDERABAD) of his choice and once chosen, request for change of Regional Centre / HYDERABAD ZONE will not be entertained later.
2.      The Convener reserves the right to add or delete some Test Centres from the list of Regional Centres notified.
3.      The Convener reserves the right to allot the candidates to any Regional Centre other than that opted by the candidates.
4.      Candidate has to submit not more than one application either for ‘E’ or ‘AM’ or ‘E&AM’ category test. If any candidate submits more than one application for one category, the Convener reserves the right to reject all the applications or accept any one of them only.
