1. Candidate should apply for KEAM
online and send a printout to the CEE before the last date.
3. Candidates should send only one
application for all the courses in KEAM 2014.
4. Age should not be more than 17
yrs and 50% mark for Biology and 50% for Science.

Paper-I: 21/04/14 and Paper-II: 22/04/14
About
Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical Entrance Exams:
Admission to the undergraduate Engineering
courses viz.
·
B.Tech.
Degree courses affiliated to various Universities in Kerala, under the semester
scheme.
·
B.Tech.
(Agricultural Engineering) and the B.Tech. (Food Engineering) courses under the
Kerala Agricultural University [KAU].
·
B.Tech.
(Dairy Science & Technology) course under the Kerala Veterinary and Animal
Sciences University [KVASU].
Duration of the B.Tech is 4 Years
(8-Semester) and B.Arch is 5 Years (10-Semester) with 6 months compulsory
rotating internship.
Important Dates of the KEAM-2014 (Engineering Entrance Exam):
The
Entrance Examinations will be conducted at selected venues as per the following
schedule:

Eligibility Criteria for admission:
NATIVITY:
Only
Indian citizens are eligible for admission to Professional courses unless
otherwise notified. Candidates seeking admission to Professional courses will
be categorised as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK I) and Non-Keralite
Category II (NK II).
AGE:
Applicants
should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2014. No
relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit for
KEAM–2014.
ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY:
Candidates
who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations
recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and
50 % marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for
admission. However candidates who have obtained 45% marks in Mathematics
separately with 60% aggregate marks in Physics and Chemistry put together are
also eligible for admission.
Pattern
of Exams (Papers for the Engineering Entrance Exam):
Candidates desirous of being considered for the entire Medical
& Engineering courses under Kerala
Engineering Agriculture Medical Common Entrance Exam will have to write both papers of the Medical Entrance
Examination. The KEAM Entrance Exam will be objective type with Multiple Choice
Questions and based on single response. For each question, five suggested answers would be given, of which only one have to
select and mark the alphabet (A/ B/ C/ D/ E) corresponding to the most
appropriate response in the OMR Answer Sheet.

Scoring, negative marks: For each correct response in the Engineering and Medical Entrance Examinations, the candidates will be awarded FOUR marks, and for each incorrect response, ONE mark will be deducted from the total score. More than one answer indicated against a question will be deemed as incorrect response, and will be awarded negative marks. Questions are not based on NCERT textbooks or any other textbooks exclusively.
Application Procedure:
Online submission of application is required to apply for the
Entrance Examination for admission to all the courses (Medical & Allied,
Engineering and Architecture). If a candidate submits more than one printout of
the application then, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled. The detailed
instructions for filling each item in the application are given in Annexure XX
of the Prospectus and in the link, “How
to Apply” provided on the website www.ceekerala.org and
www.cee.kerala.gov.in
Candidate can pay application fee in either of the two following methods:
(a) Security
Card: Security
Card and Prospectus can be obtained from selected Post Offices in Kerala and
outside the State, on payment of the prescribed fee by cash. The Key number and Serial Number are unique and are required for filling up of payment
details in the online application.
(b) Demand
Draft:
Application fee can be paid by way of Demand Draft (DD) drawn on a
Nationalised/ Scheduled Bank, in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance
Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
Notes:
1.
ST
candidates whose annual family income is below Rs.40000/- are exempted from
payment of application fee (for General: Rs.800/- and SC/ ST: Rs.400/-).
2.
Candidates
choosing 'Dubai' as Examination Centre will have to remit an additional fee of
Rs.12,000/- of a Demand Draft drawn on a Nationalised Bank, in favour of the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram along
with the printout of the application.
3. Copy of the printout of the
Application form must be retained for future reference.
4. Candidates should submit income
certificate for availing fee concession/ scholarship.
Applicant should ensure the
following before
sending the printout of the application form:
(a)
The
applicant and parent/guardian have signed the form at the specified space.
(b)
All
certificates should be properly filled in and signed by the competent authority
with office seal.
(c)
Photograph
uploaded online and pasted in the printout of application form should be
identical.
(d)
The
applicant should select the course/s which he/she desires to study while
applying online.
(e)
Key
number of candidate should be confidential and keep it in safe custody till the
end of process.
