About IPUCET:
The
Govt. of NCT of Delhi established its first University with the name Guru
Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 1998. It is a teaching and affiliating
University with the explicit objective of facilitating and promoting “studies,
research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on
professional education, for example engineering, technology, management
studies, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, education, law, etc. and also to achieve
excellence in these and connected fields and other matters connected therewith
or incidental thereto.” Admission into the GGSIPU is done on the basis of the
merit obtained by the candidate in the Common Entrance Test (CET).

Date of Biotechnology Entrance Exam: 17th May, 2014 [2:00-4:30
p.m.]

Eligibility Criteria:
·
Age:
Candidate should not be more than 21 years. The upper age limit may be relaxed
up to a maximum of 5 years in exceptional cases by the Admission Officer of the
concerned program if he/she is satisfied with the merit of the case.
·
Academic
Qualification: For all Undergraduate Programs, candidate
must pass in Class 12th of (10+2) pattern of CBSE.
Eligibility for
·
B.Tech./M.Tech - (Dual Degree) - Bio-Technology: Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or Bio- Technology
equivalent with a minimum aggregate of
55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology provided the
candidate has passed in each subject separately. Candidate must additionally
have passed English as a subject of study (core/ elective/functional) in the
qualifying examination.

Technology/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics & Communication

Environment Engg., Electrical Engg, Mechanical Engg & Mechatronics: Pass in
12th Class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
Candidate must additionally have passed English as a subject of study
(core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.
Test Pattern:
Each
question shall carry 4 marks. One (1) mark will be deducted for each incorrect
answer. Candidates should bring a black
ball point pen to the Examination Hall for writing/marking responses on
OMR answer sheet. Every Common Entrance
Test will be of 2 ½ hours duration. Medium of all Common Entrance Tests will be
English.

Admission Procedure:
Sale on the Counter- The Admission
Brochure along with Application Form will be on sale on all working days during
normal Banking hours from the branches of Indian Bank.
Sale by Post- Admission Brochure along with
Application Form can also be obtained through registered/speed post. A request
in this regard should be sent to the Joint
Registrar (Admissions), Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha
University, Sector-16C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078 along with the
following:

An
application on plain paper, addressed to the Joint Registrar (Admissions)
requesting to issue Admission Brochure-II (Engineering & B.Arch. Programmes).
The application should clearly mention the name and the address of the
applicant
·
A
Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar,
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi. The name,
address and phone number of the applicant should be clearly mentioned on the
back side of the Demand Draft/Pay Order
·
A
self addressed envelope of size not less than 24cms x 30cms.
Submission of Application Form through Online-
For the
convenience to the applicants as well as their parents/guardians, the
university is also providing the facility of On-Line Submission of Application
Form for CET-2014.
Submission
of Form by Hand/Post-
Brochure should
be submitted by hand at the University counter or it may be sent by
Registered/Speed Post to the Controller
of Examinations, Administrative Block, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha
University, Sector-16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078.
Reservation of Seats:
For Delhi Region
Candidates, 85% seats are reserved i.e. those who have passed the qualifying examination
from any school/ Institute located in Delhi or from any College/ Institute
affiliated to GGSIP University. These seats will be filled up through the merit
/rank list of the CET- 2013 prepared for Delhi Region candidates.
