SRMEE (B. Tech) - 2014

1.      SRM Entrance Examination 2014 (SRMEE 2014) for admission to programs B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and Health Sciences - Under Graduate will be held as follows:

                                            i.            Paper - Pencil Mode: April 27, 2014, Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM

                                          ii.            Computer Based Exam: April 17 to April 22, 2014 with two sessions per day.

2.      For B.Tech and Health Sciences UG: Candidate can choose either Paper – Pencil entrance exam or online entrance exam.

3.      Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the SRMEE are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree programs.

4.	Counseling for admission to B.Tech	May 17 to May 24, 2014
5.	Counseling for admission to Undergraduate programs  in Health Sciences	May 24, 2014
6.	Counseling for admission to M.Tech	May 25, 2014
7.	Counseling for admission to MBA and MCA	June 1,  2014
8.	Last date for receipt of NATA score and higher secondary marks for B.Arch admission	June 5, 2014
9.	Publication of rank list & counseling schedule for B.Arch	June 8, 2014
10.	Counseling for admission to B.Arch	June 13, 2014
11.	Last date for payment of full tuition fees for B.Tech	June 15, 2014

Eligibility Criteria:

A.    The applicant for admission should be a resident Indian national.

B.     A candidate must pass in 10+2 or its equivalent and

                                i.            For all programs: Minimum 70% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry

                              ii.            For Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering and Genetic Engineering: Minimum 70% aggregate in Mathematics / Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

Pattern of Exam:

Duration of the Examination is 2:30 Hours.

Questions for B.Tech programs-

Part-1: Physics            1 to 35             35 x 3 = 105 marks                

Part-2: Chemistry        36 to 70           35 x 3 = 105 marks    

Part-3: Mathematics    71 to 105         35 x 3 = 105 marks    

Total                           105 x 3                        315 marks

Admission Procedure:

Note: Annual Career Development fee of Rs.15, 000/- has to be paid for all B.Tech programs.
The Demand Draft for the Tuition Fees* should be drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at New Delhi
The Demand Draft for the Career Development Fee** of Rs.15,000/- should be drawn in favour of GREEN PEARL EDUCATION, payable at New Delhi

Required Documents in Original during Counseling for UG programs:

• Counselling call letter / Provisional  allotment  letter
• SRMEE - 2014 Rank Card / Hall Ticket (except for B.Arch).
• NATA score card for B.Arch only.
• High School (Class X) marks sheet.
• Marks sheet of qualifying examination.
• Community certificate (issued by the competent authority).
• Demand Draft for Rs.1,00,000/- towards part of tuition fee or full tuition fee whichever is less. DD should be drawn in favour of “SRMIST” payable at CHENNAI.
• Balance tuition fees, if any, should be paid before the last date stipulated by the University failing which the admission offer would stand cancelled.

Note: The eligible candidates, chosen on the basis of rank, would be called for counseling for final admission. The physical presence of the candidate during the counseling is mandatory.
