UPES Entrance Exams-2014 for B. Tech

About UPES:

University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was established in the year 2003 through UPES Act, 2003 of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand.

Duration of B. Tech Programs: 4 YEARS, FULL TIME PROGRAM (8 Semester)

Eligibility Criteria:

·         Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)

·         Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th).

Admission Procedure of UPES:

EXAMINATION PATHWAY – B.TECH ADMISSIONS THROUGH UPESEAT (UPTO 80% OF SEATS):

·         UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) followed by Centralized Counseling.

·         Final Selection list will be declared after the GDPI.

NON-EXAMINATION PATHWAY - B.TECH THROUGH BOARD MERIT / JEE MERIT#

Eligibility Criteria:
Board Merit –

·         Minimum 80% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 80% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th class).

OR

JEE (Main) Merit –

·         Minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th class).

·         JEE (Main) cut-off Rank to be announced (on UPES website) after the declaration of JEE (Main) 2014 results.

Centralized Counseling through Merit Ranking.

Reservation of Seats:

#Upto 20% seats shall be filled through Board Merit / JEE Main Merit category. Incase candidates for such seats are not available; UPES has the right to fill these through UPES Examination. University also reserves the right to conduct further physical (paper pencil test) / online test for admission.
